Meet the candidates at a Town Hall Forum on October 7,  2010 at St Theresa, Sunny Hills, FL. All candidates running in the general election are       invited.
  Your Tax Dollars at work.....
County Minutes
are located on the County Web Site.
But if you are trying to find out what is happening currently with your tax dollars you won't find current minutes.

Question: Why in this great technolgy age are the BOCC minutes never current?

When asked about grading on the weekend and who is paying for it,
according to Commissioner Howell, no one is in charge at Public Works for months and months.  Nobody knows what they are doing or when they are doing it and until they get someone down there it is no going to change.
Commissioner Pate said there are two Supervisors
Now that's precious.

The bids to put in a shell for the new SH Fire Dept right behind the old SHVFD is now up to $50,000. In addition the building might have to be moved in a year.  Is this the best use of your tax dollars?
The SHVFD equipment is still in a pasture.

With budget cuts posing a big problem one would wonder why the Commissioners are not looking for ways to bring in revenue to replace lost without increasing taxes.

Voting in 2010 is the single most important thing you will do this year. Let your voice be heard.

Tea Parties are making a significant change in our American political future.  Even though Tea Parties are being labeled by our liberal friends as violent, racist and now Anti-Government more people than ever are listening and learning.

Tea Parties are making a difference in all elections as voters are looking for a
smaller government with free markets that follows the constitution. Check out the importance of this grass roots movement

Read Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals.  Has this book become a blue print for policy in this administration?
Is this why the Tea Parties have been labeled as Anti-Government?

While you were watching the oil spill, then New York failed terrorist bombing and other critical issues, Hillary Clinton signed the small arms treaty with the UN.  Obama finds a legal way around the 2nd Amendment.  That means there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress

This weekend  President Obama

While his ratings show evidence of a meltdown and stunning decline according to the recent Gallop Poll

Maybe he should pay attention to the economy and unemployment
Look at the effect of his moratorium for the Gulf and his policy for the coal industry all designed to make his buddy's rich while our energy costs will "necessarily skyrocket.

International Finance: Investors love the Euro/EU/One-World bailout. The International Monetary Fund of which the American share is 17% of the pledged $1 Trillion to bailout Europe starting with Greece.  America's share is $50 Billion dollars. How do we get repaid? Why are we going in more debt to bail out Greece while Americans are unemployed?   What these bailouts miss is the need to change from a country of entitlement to a country of production. Instead there is animosity toward businesses and apathy toward hard work.  How can there really be a change?  What is the future of America with our massive debt and poor attitude towards business? Will all of this nudging from Washington lead us towards a Global Economy?    Read More>>>>>>

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac the single biggest contributors to the housing crisis have requested billions more in bailouts after 1Q losses.  And why should they remain in business?  Does the new financial bill address their incompetence? No it leaves them out of the picture so once again special interest gets a free pass.

Immigration Reform:  Watch the commercial from Gov Jan Brewer and congratulations to Arizona for listening to 70% of its citizens seeking border closure.  Those who did not read the bill believe it is unconstitutional, those who read the bill realize it is just a mirror of the Federal Immigration Bill already on the books. The pro-illegal protesters had violent demonstrations.  Maybe it in the best interest of radicals to keep the country divided so more policies can be passed without the American people being informed?

had done their job.  In 1994, we the tax payers, paid for survey and had approval for 10 fire booms to be strategically placed around the Gulf and other off shore oil rigs in case of an emergency. Did that happen?  Was our government prepared?  Now we the people again must suffer the results of an accident. Accidents happen, being prepared minimizes the damage.  Now the Federal Government is ignoring the court and continuing a moratorium which is eroding the Gulf economy.
