Washington County Florida Tea Party

Mission

Washington County Tea Party is dedicated to protecting our freedom and liberties while improving our community by providing information to the citizens about Washington County and the people who run the government on the local, state and federal level.   We promise to work tirelessly to improve conditions in our community and affect positive change in the world around us.

Like George Washington said, "We are a country of laws and not of men."  Following those laws makes us equal.  

We believe in the Declaration of independence, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. 

Our creator is not our Government.  Our government is in place to make sure that laws are followed not to dictate how to run our daily lives. 

Our government is in place to make sure all have the same opportunity not to take from one to give to another.

We affirm the importance of working together to find solutions. Washington County Tea Party will operate lawfully and respectfully in all matters.  We believe in fairness for all. Washington County Tea Party will not waiver in the conviction to create a better community for all citizens.

Key Issues for Candidate Consideration

We started a list of key issues. Whether the issues are local, state or national, if they are important to you, they will be important to all. 
  1. STOP SPENDING - we don't need forums and committees wasting more money to tell us to cut pork. Stop spending on items we don't need with money we don't have. Just cut it, and work towards a balanced budget.
  2. Americans need jobs - Washington county citizens need jobs.  What is the Washington County BOCC doing to promote growth in the county?  
  3. Secure the borders, stop  illegal immigration and exporting our jobs. Revisit NAFTA and tax cuts.  If we have jobs, we can afford health care. 
  4. Stop favoritism and listen to ALL the people who elected you.
  5. Where is the transparency and accountability in our local, state and federal government?
  6. Balance the budget.  If we can do it at home, you can do it in the government.
  7. Consolidate for efficiency not duplicate for inefficiency.
  8. Run the government like you would run a profitable corporation.
  9. Fiscal responsibility, limited government and the Free Market.
  10. Pay attention and follow our Constitution.
